Mudlark Theater Summer Education Intern
Last summer, I had the opportunity to teach classes ranging from sketch comedy to music videos with Mudlark Theater. I also helped with various administrative tasks, including organizing class rosters, working as a production manager for camp showcases, and assisting with fundraising initiatives
ARTSiE Teaching Artist
As a teaching artist for ARTSiE (Arts in Education), I've developed curriculum and taught the class Identity and Joy through Art for 3rd through 5th graders. In the class, the students and I explore artistic mediums ranging from poetry, to dance, to painting. Then we discuss how to find and express joy through these different art forms. I'm very thankful to ARTSiE for giving me the opportunity to balance teaching with my schoolwork, and it's been a great way to get involved with the Evanston community.
MVCCT Teaching Assistant
Working as an assistant for Mount Vernon Community Children's Theater means many things: stage managing, making props, choreographing, and leading improv.
Fairfax County Solar System Model (FCSSM)
For our senior research project, two friends and I continued a scale model of the solar system. The large dome at the front entrance of our school represented the Sun, and we created models for all the planets. Solar System Walks like this are important for helping us understand astronomical scale. After collecting data through a survey, we found the model improved respondents understanding of the Solar System's scale by 147%!
FCPS Student Technician
As a student technician at my high school, I helped run events for clubs, guest speakers, and staff development, giving me a look at the inner-workings of the school.
